Southeast Georgia Joint Development Authority
Economic Development is a group effort and that is what the Southeast Georgia Joint Development Authority is all about – working together. In 2004, six counties in Southeast Georgia came together to accomplish something great. Combined, they were able to finance a connection track that dramatically reduces the amount of time it takes to move cargo out of the Port of Brunswick. The project was hugely beneficial for the entire region and as a result, the Port of Brunswick has continued to see explosive growth.
Since then, the counties of Brantley, Camden, Charlton, Glynn, McIntosh, and Wayne have continued to further develop the region’s economic assets and work together for the growth and economic development of the entire region.
